Although this is a tried and true recipe; I cannot take claim to it. I found it many moons ago in an old cookbook my sister bought at a yard sale. I think originally they were called must have chocolate chip cookies. I renamed them because it seems to be the only cookie my hubby wants!

How to Make Hubby’s absolute favorite cookies:

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of raisins
  • 1/2 cup boiling water
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 & 1/2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Method:

Place raisins in a small bowl and pour boiling water over top. This helps to moisten the raisins. Beat butter with peanut butter until nice and smooth add sugar. Beat well and add eggs one at a time, then add cinnamon, vanilla, baking soda & flour mixing after each addition to combine. Stir in your rolled oats.

Drain the water from the raisins and add to the mixture along with your chocolate chips. Drop by rounded teaspoonful’s onto a parchment lined cookie sheet. place about 2″ apart. Bake at 350 for 10 minutes. Enjoy!
