Who doesn’t love a chewy moist coconut macaroon especially when topped with a juicy maraschino or a sweet chocolaty kiss? These are probably one of my most favorite cookies especially during the holiday season. They are also one of the first to quickly disappear from the cookie plate.
It always amazes me at how truly simple this recipe is with maximum flavor I’m absolutely sure you wont be disappointed. With 5 simple ingredients you’ll have them made in no time at all and they look so festive your family and friends will think you’ve been slaving in the kitchen all day.
I’m sorry to say I didnt do a video tutorial for this one. I was up real early in the morning and decided to get my bake on. When sharing to social media it was so popular I decided to write this post. I sure hope you try them for yourself.
Inorder to make these yummy macaroons you will need the following:
Ingredients:
- 2/3 cup flour
- 5 & 1/2 cups of sweetened flaked coconut
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1- 14 oz can of sweetened condensed milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. almond flavoring
Instructions:
In a large bowl combine flour, coconut, salt mix well. When combined add your sweetened condensed milk, vanilla and almond flavorings.
Using a cookie scoop place on parchment lined cookie sheet about 2 inches apart. If you don’t have a cookie scoop just place a heaping tablespoon ( a small egg size)
Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 12-15 minutes
When removing from the oven immediately place your Hershey Kiss or maraschino cherry that has been dried on a paper towel in the center of each cookie pressing lightly. Enjoy!
