Amazing Banana Pancake Recipe

Fresh off the grill!

These banana pancakes start with the very best ingredients. Fresh ground nutmeg, real butter ripened bananas, eggs and yummy vanilla; not to mention they are low sugar and super easy to make. Kids and adults agree, these fluffy banana pancakes are truly amazing.

Learn how to make banana pancakes in my free tutorial below:

I never did get the other part of the video, I guess we can blame that on mercury retrograde lol.

The ingredients needed for the banana pancakes are:

  • 1 & 1/2 cups of all purpose flour
  • 2 Tablespoons white sugar
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 really ripe banana
  • 1 cup plus 2 Tbsp. fresh 2% Milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 tsp. fresh ground nutmeg ( you can use ground but fresh tastes and smells best)
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 Tablespoons of real butter melted

Mash your banana very well with a fork on a large dinner plate. Sift your dry ingredients and set aside.

Whisk your eggs into your mashed banana then add your milk to it, along with your vanilla extract.

Fold this wet mixture into your dry ingredients. Folding gently, taking care not to over mix, just until there are no big lumps. Add your melted butter.

Using a soup ladle, drop a small amount onto your pre heated and oiled grill. Around 350 degrees. 1/2 way through cooking add a tablespoon of butter and flip them.

You will know when its time to flip them over because you will start to see tiny bubbles form on the top. When you flip them over you can add a little more oil or butter if desired.

Serve with Canadian Maple syrup. Enjoy!

Whenever I think about banana pancakes my mind immediately goes to my friend Julie Nason. We were room mates in Inuvik, during which time she introduced me to Jack Johnson and the song banana pancakes I was hooked from the 1st song if you haven’t heard it here’s a link:

He’s a wonderful artist one of my favorites and your pancakes will absolutely taste better if your singing while your making them. Don’t forget a sprinkle of love!

I sure hope you enjoyed that recipe and give it a go for your family and friends. As usual, I will share a couple links for my favorite ingredients. The 1st of which has to be fresh nutmeg, find it here:
